Biography
With an MA Voice Studies from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and a varied performance career spanning 15 years, accent and vocal coach Nic’s work covers the fundamentals of voice training from breath through to text as well as accent coaching and character voicing for gaming and animation. She currently teaches accents and recorded voice at LIPA and ALRA respectively, with previous engagements at RADA, Arts Ed and East 15. Her accent coaching credits encompass work for companies such as CBBC, Hatrick Productions, Radio 4 Comedy, Bolton Octagon, Theatre 503 and Pilot Theatre. Nic also runs a thriving 1-2-1 voice practice helping individuals with tailored voice advice and accent training and is the co-founder of Northern Voice Collective, which works to provide regular voice and accent classes to professional voice users across the north of England. As a voice actor Nic works internationally voicing commercial, corporate and character scripts with a client list including Tesco, NSPCC and the BBC. She co-runs The Voiceover Social Podcast, the first voiceover industry specific podcast in the UK. This podcast offers a wealth of information and interviews on the voice over industry for all members of the community, from new comers to seasoned pros. Nic also co-runs VO Social North, the first voiceover industry specific social in the North of England.
