Diva is a script-based audio recording tool that cuts and renames your files automatically, as you record, with stacks of features to aid your recording workflow.
Script Based Recording
Whether it’s an imported CSV or spreadsheet of lines, copy and pasted Docs, or even just Wild Recording, Diva guides you and your team through each line in turn, recording the main line, alt-takes and script changes with ease.
The files are the automatically cut into individual files, and uploaded directly to the cloud, or recording to your local machine, already renamed.
Built-in Multi-takes
It’s the norm’ that alternative versions need to be recorded of each line.
Diva makes this easy. Record as many takes as you like, and you choose your alt-file naming convention. Playback any of the alt-takes immediately, and even select which takes are your preferred choices!
Built in Subtitling / Script Amendment, per take
With each initial or alternate take you make, you can change, amend or adapt the script line for that take. Then, once you’re finished, you can download a sheet with all the takes and alts, and all the relevant script lines for each one!
Multiple Participants with Engineer Remote Control
Picture this, your recording engineer is in London, your first actor is in New York, your second actor is in Paris, and your third actor is in Thailand, with your director in Bahrain, and your producer in Dublin. This is all possible, thanks to our groundbreaking access and control system.
And if you’re worried about the limitations of WebRTC, and bad internet connections, fear not! Everything is recorded locally for each artist, and automatically uploaded to the cloud, for seamless streamed playback!
Cloud Storage
All files and takes recorded are recorded locally and then automatically uploaded to the cloud for instant playback and download by all parties.
And don’t worry about your internet connection: the local copy is always preserved in case your internet connection is interrupted!
Script Editing + Multiple Script Types
We support CSV imports and exports, and copy and pasted docs. You can import the entire lot in one hit, or paste in each line one at a time. You can import the copy, the character, filenames and direction, and can import multiple scripts per project.
This means, for example, with your video game, you can import your wild-lines, your group dialogues and your exposition separately, and have each actor record only their own lines, but see the entire project in one go!
Instant File Transfer
With Diva, you can assign access to download your recorded files and takes yourself only, or to any third party you choose. You no longer have to download everything, zip it, and use a third-party paid application to transfer your files to your clients. It’s all there, in the cloud already!
Project Archives & Storage
Once you’ve completed your projects, you can either delete them to reduce your storage allocation, or keep them in your archive library of projects for future reference.
This is especially useful if you have multi-tiered projects, which are additive and you have ongoing recordings, or even to use as your single-place of storage for the complete historry of your recorded works!

No longer get Internet Buffering in Front of Clients with Cloud Playback!
We’ve all been there on the many peer-to-peer recording applications, almost all of which are based on WebRTC: the constant frame drops (pauses) and the catch ups (where the connection seems artifically fast) can be draining. But be anoyed no longer! Diva solves this problem!
As soon as the line is recorded, anyone can ask for a playback from the cloud, and the file is then automatically streamed out to everyone: streaming in this manner does not incur the same issues, and is buffered in the background. And no waiting for audio-catchups for your playbacks like in some rival applications!
