Nadine Shenton trained as an actress at the London Studio Centre, where she graduated with the highest award – the ‘Sheila O’Neil Cup for most talented student. In the following years, Nadine performed in critically acclaimed West End musicals; ‘Barnum’, ‘Sweet Charity’, ‘Cabaret’ and ‘Charlie Girl’, while also starring in the RSC production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Nadine then followed this up with extensive commercial acting work for companies like Nestle, Kellogg’s, Tesco, McDonald’s and BT – just to name a few. Nadine then turned to the world of voicing, spending a year travelling between studios before booking her first job. 25 years later, Nadine can be heard globally on a plethora of media platforms, crossing radio, TV, SatNavs and even aeroplane safety announcements. Nadine’s clients include public organisations like the NHS and HM Prison Service, charitable entities including BBC Children in Need and the UN World Childrens Relief and Volunteer Organization, and blue- chip companies such as The Times, Bupa, Trivago, BMW, Volkswagen and Amazon. Nadine recently won ‘Best Visual Advertising Campaign’ at the 2017 Vox Awards. An ITV Creative Director fittingly summed up her timbre with the statement: “if angels have voices, then they will sound like Nadine”. We are absolutely delighted to have her at OVC19 to share her story.
